Central Procurement Group

Central Procurement Group (CPG) draws together procurement activity for DVLA. CPG is the Agency’s area of expertise in procurement having responsibility and authority for:

• managing a number of large strategic contractual relationships, including PACT (IBM), Post Office, Estates, Wheel-clamping, Tax Disc, Vehicle Registration and Driving Licence documents on behalf of the Agency

• managing all competitive tendering exercises from identification of need through to award of contract and debriefing of tenderers

• the purchase of quality goods and services, including mission critical products essential to the workings of the Agency

• issuing contracts to those purchasing the Agency’s data and services on a commercial basis

• providing support and advice on procurement policy and strategy

• ensuring, wherever possible, all purchases adhere to and comply with Government, DfT and DVLA environmental and sustainable development policies
